Update on New Year Resolution

It’s Chinese New Year again!! Yay…Wish all of you a enjoyable new year and may all your wishes come true!! this year, the CNY really come so sudden.. my mood for Christmas and New Year wasn’t completely gone yet… Also, I hope that my uncles & aunties will ration their money in their “ang baos” based on last year’s good economy and not the recession that will come… haha..

Alrite, back to my 8 big resolution that I made in the beginning of 2009:

1. Complete my Final Year Project - haven’t touch anything since I last blogged.. I really find myself a sloth.. it’s troubling me.. I really need to do something about it.. need to find my lost motivation…

2. Graduate NTU by May (one more semester to go) – well.. I think I shouldn’t have any problems passing exams.. but I still need to complete my FYP.. God, please help me!!
3. Learn & pass Class 3 driving - Haven’t register or plan to do it yet.. but will surely look into it soon ba..
4. Find a job - my uncle is offering some chance to cooperate with his company, which is something I want to do.. Consumer Product Design!! I really hope that I can impress him soon and prolly get that as my job.. got to learn AUTOCAD & SOLIDWORKS..
   also.. i will be getting paid for something i like to do real soon.. have entirely confirm yet.. but should be happening la.. im not suppose to reveal wad is it…so sorry.. u can ask me in person if you see me….
5. Lose weight (from 95kg to 80kg at least) - come on.. it’s CNY now.. wait till after CNY then we talk about it..
6. Start selling unwanted items on ebay - I have some items in mind to sell… I will visit the post office soon to check out the prices for postage real soon..
7. Handover my roles & responsibilites in 12BR Coy to a more capable person – there are more people coming back for parades!! which is a damn good thing man… now got more pple to arrow the responsibilities liao.. so glad about it…
8. Train another batch of good band members in 12BR Pipe Band - it’s a bad start.. we don’t have as many band recruits as we used to have last year… because of the small company recruitment we got this year… so sad.. I really hope that more Boys will join the small family and make it a BIG one… still hoping to realise the pipe band dream.. i found this saying recently, “the beauty of having dreams is not the need to fulfill them, but to chase them..” but certainly, i will hope to fulfill them and dream of greater things!!

alrite.. have to do more visiting tomorrow.. so tired from today’s visit.. although I only went to 1 place.. i guess im getting old.. haha…

New Year Resolution

This first post of the year took sometime to come because I have always believed that it’s impossible to fulfilled your new year resolutions. Especially when the resolutions is something that requires lots of discipline and complicated. It will usually linger around your head for the first few weeks, as the computer games and other distractions come. It will be complete erased from the head.
Anyways, there are some things I will hope to accomplish this year.

1. Complete my Final Year Project – the thought of incomplete FYP is tormenting me. The deadline is in March and I really hope to complete it by this end of Jan or beginning of Feb.
2. Graduate NTU by May (one more semester to go) – Yes!! I will study hard to make sure I will pass all my subjects I take this year.
3. Learn & pass Class 3 driving – After being driven by Mincong for supper since 18 years old, I feel bad not knowing how to drive. At least by knowing how to drive, he will be resassured that I will be his driver for  supper one fine day when I buy a car.. haha..
4. Find a job – that is a tricky one… to purse my dream career or settle myself to any job that comes in the way??
5. Lose weight (from 95kg to 80kg at least) – Since my last IPPT, my weight has been increasing. From 75kg to present 95kg. I hope my 3 months more in army will help me in this. Of course, I will make full use of the time in school to give myself a head start… I shall start with… Swimming and less beer…
6. Start selling unwanted items on ebay – I have been wanting to do this since I started buying stuff from ebay. I have always thought that it’s so cool to make money out of unwanted things… especially the idea that you have earning your own money and might get rich one fine day.. haha.. these are all not very realistic.. my aim now is just to get rid of unwanted stuff in my house.
7. Handover my roles & responsibilites in 12BR Coy to a more capable person – I guess I am quite tired out from all the plannings and worrying about company affairs. I do not think I have been a good OC, but I suppose I have fulfilled the basic requirement… I still have the passion to serve by do not have the fire to create breakthroughs.. so, I think it’s time to handover… I am actively looking for my successor… have brave volunteers?
8. Train another batch of good band members in 12BR Pipe Band – 2008 was great!! I never felt so happy to see a group of pipers & drummers progress so fast within a year. Of course, they are still a long way more to become a good bandsman, but the foundation is there already. I hope we (the instructors & helpers) can make this happen every year, I wish that I am there every year to see it myself!!

I think that is about it. I hope things don’t get complicated and I will be able to fulfill everything I hope for. Especially item number 5 because it concerns my health. Haven’t been feeling well lately, dunno if it’s due to stress or some other reasons. Let’s hope I will feel better as I lose some weight.
