So far, I have completed Thin Film, Advance Materials Analysis and Principles of Semicon Exams… I think I studied quite hard for the first two, and got totally distracted for the semicon paper. Maybe I suffering from the sickness where my “body” is in Singapore but “soul” flew away to Vietnam.. Yea.. so sad.. this year didn’t get to fly to Vietnam with the rest of the Merlion Pipe & Drums to perform for the Charity Ball because they shifted it forward. I even planned my exams to end earlier so I can go at the end of the month. Haiz.. so sad..
There were miracles happening for my Thin Film (Wed) and Advance Materials (Fri) exams. I was so worried for both paper before I entered the hall, but most of the questions that came out were the ones that I prepared very hard for it. (yea.. I did some risky spotting of questions)
My weekend was totally unproductive. Did nothing but laze ard, play game, and laze ard again. Before I knew it, it was Sunday evening and I started to panic. Why must I feel this way every single exam? I guess I pray the most during exam period, hoping God will help me!! As usual, I will include in my prayers that I will work hard the next time round, but I shall confess now that it never happens, or I should say haven’t.
The semicon paper was very difficult for me. Despite having the “electronics background”, I still think I am going to do quite badly because I am guessing most of the paper, and writing equations and sentences down for the sake of writing, hoping that he will give me some marks for effort.
Right now, I am left with Quality Control (this Fri). It’s not a easy paper & subject based on the quiz I did earlier this month. Which also means that I have to work extra hard if I want to get a decent grade. Argh..

This picture is to commemorate that Hui Ying (extreme left) took an exam with us for the last time… hahaha… She has been attending lessons and sitting around us for the last 3.5 years… but for me, it was shorter because I seldom attend lectures and tutorials.. only see her during quiz.. hahaha…

I felt there were a lot of differences between this exams and the previous. First, I did not play Football Manager during my exam this time round. However, I played Civilisation 4 over last weekend!! which is more time consuming than FM. Second, I don’t have the distraction, knowing that I will not be going to Vietnam to perform. Thrid, I am totally not looking forward to the end of exams because there is nothing to look forward to. This coming holidays, I do not have Vietnam to go and I have to complete my FYP.
This is the 2nd last exams I am going through before I get a break (I am not sure if I will further my studies). Since then I have took exams for 6 years in primary school, 4 years in seconday school, 3 years in poly, 1 year in army (on the theory of bombs) and so far, 3.5 years in University. That is a shocking 17.5 years of my life (might be even more)!!
People keep telling me that life as a student is better, but I do not think so because I seems to be suffereing now. BUT, I will agree with the fact that life as a GOOD student is better, because you feel GOOD taking exams!!
My day so far is quite unproductive. Woke up late and reach barker only after band, spent my time lazing around and sleeping there.. The only productive thing I can think of today is that I sort out some reeds and update you all about my life… hope I can get my act together tonight, play less games and start studying my QC. I would want to enjoy my last paper this friday..
